Millrise is a suburban residential neighbourhood in the south-west quadrant of Calgary. It is located south of Fish Creek Provincial Park, and is bounded by 146 Avenue S to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, Shawnessy Boulevard to te south and James McKevitt Road to the west.The residents of this area enjoy close proximity to major transportation routes, and to Fish Creek Provincial Park and its associated facilities. The Light Rail Transit (L.R.T) now goes through Millrise to Sommerset.
